Remember that we are open tomorrow at Dunfermline advice hub on Douglas Street, from 10 - 2, Please feel free to pop in to find out more about us or how to be referred :)
Anyone looking to see us can do so today by visiting us between 10am and 2pm. We will be available at our Douglas Street shop between these times. Pop in and say hello, we would love to see you. Please have a look at our drop off section to find out where we are open over the summer :) and a huge thank you to everyone who is continuing to donate clothes to us, without your donations we wouldn't be able to help anyone........
Before making your way to our Drop Off Points over the summer period, please, please check our website to ensure that they are open. Our lovely volunteers deserve a break as much as any of us, so times and dates may vary over summer. Rather than turning up to a closed Drop Off Point, have a check of our Drop Off Points page first, and confirm their opening times here. Have a good summer from us all at FCCB! :)
Finally after eight months of planning we are officially open!! If you want to find out more about us or about how to donate clothes or time, please drop us a message through this website. :)
Wow, where has this year gone? Cant believe that it is June already. This means it's nearly time to get rid of all the old school uniforms.........
If you have any school uniforms that you are finished with, we would be able to pass them onto to families in Fife who need them. If you would like to donate them to FCCB please drop them into one of our drop off points. If you would like to refer families to FCCB then please register as a referrer, this is simple to do, contact us via the contact page telling us a bit about yourself, role, organisation you work for, contact details and we will post your vouchers out to you in time for our going live date 29-06-2015.
Step one of the referring process: Identify the family in need: are they receiving benefits? are the struggling financially? are they experiencing crisis? if you can answer yes to these questions and they can provide proof if asked, then they may qualify for help from us. Step two: Let the family know that you are going to refer them to FCCB, give them the voucher and that is your part complete! easy isn't it? The family will then make contact with us either by email, text or call, we can return all calls too, so the most cost effective way would be a single text to our number then we could call back. Eventually we will have a shop for families to come to collect their clothing but until we open, clothes will be dropped off at home addresses. There is a donation expected for the clothes, the minimum being £1 per voucher. One voucher will supply up to one weeks worth of clothes for up to six children. We hope that this clearly explains our referral process and how we will operate, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us. :) Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of our supporters and drop off point helpers, Alison, Gill, Carol, Fiona, Yvonne, Caroline, James, Andrea, Crossgates PS, Marv, Stacey, Moira, Mary, Joe and Colin - without your help and support we wouldn't be where we are just now!! We have a treat coming your way very soon......... :) Jilly & Zoe
